Founder

Sonja Swinton

Founder, Registered Foster Parent

Sonia, a registered foster parent, cares for abandoned babies who go to Hope House while waiting to be adopted or united with their families. She has a Certificate in Child Care and also has extensive experience with children.

“These children are God’s blessings, which he has entrusted to us for a short time before going to their forever families. They give us a lot of love and joy.”

Sonia has 2 sons living in the United Kingdom, and 4 granddaughters.

Lynne Pieterse

Founder, Registered Foster Parent

Lynne, who sadly passed away in January 2019 was also a registered foster parent, caring for abandoned babies at Hope House.

It’s not about what you give the children, but what you get back from them. It’s so rewarding to see them develop.

Lynne has a family of one son (deceased), one daughter and 5 grandchildren.

We at Hope House are eternally grateful for all the commitment, love & dedication that Lynne gave to the children and the organisation.
