Meet Our Founders

Sonia Swinton

Founder, Registered

Foster Parent

 

Sonia, a registered foster parent, cares for abandoned babies who go to Hope House while waiting to be adopted or united with their families. She has a Certificate in Child Care and also has extensive experience with children.

“These children are God’s blessings, which he has entrusted to us for a short time before going to their forever families. They give us a lot of love and joy.”

Sonia has 2 sons living in the United Kingdom, and 4 granddaughters.

Lynne Pieterse

Founder, Registered

Foster Parent

 

Lynne, who sadly passed away in January 2019 was also a registered foster parent, caring for abandoned babies at Hope House.

​

“It’s not about what you give the children, but what you get back from them. It’s so rewarding to see them develop.”

​

Lynne has a family of one son (deceased), one daughter and 5 Grandchildren.


 We at Hope House are eternally grateful for all the commitment love & dedication that Lynne gave to the children and the organisation.
